a demoralising day..

yesterday..

the TPD equipment was booked for my use and so i went early to school, hoping that i can do more batches of sample. after all 1 batch of sample requires at least 5 hours.


but..

1. when i wanted to use the machine, the temperature controller was screwed up! the heating rate per minute was adjusted from default settings too!! and i had to wait for my mentor to come in only after 1 pm. :(

2. the user before me change the gas connectors. so when i need Helium gas flow, it wasn't connected to Helium gas tank! and so i need to wait for the previous user to reconnect back.

3. the gas channels into the equipment were faulty and so the mentor had to change and use the same gas channel for 2 different gas channels. and she left me half way during the experiment. when i needed to change back to the other gas, i couldn't contact her to make sure which was the correct one. and so naturally i traced the gas flow tubes (labelled the correct gas) and then connect them. but she came back, she told me i reconnect the wrong gas, and so the entire batch of sample was wasted.

it was so my fault to use the equipment when it's so screwed up. haiz.
