the mid-week public holiday.

1. I woke up to the smell of ayam bua kelua this morning. hehe. It smells like CNY. totally. lol. yea. imho, ayam bua kelua seems more appropriately eaten only on CNYs. hence, i reckoned today was probably mr goh's revise-my-bua kelua-making skills day. whatever huh. JUST EAT. lol. i have to say this: this dish is so freaking nice. yumz!!!! anyway, it's quite sad how i've been suppressing my feelings for gd food as a foodie-wannabe in the office. None of the folks are foodies or foodie-wannabes and that's sad. whenever I talked about food and all that, i'll just get looks that hint "i prefer kopi instead". oh wells. they would rather queue for the shortest stall in the hawker centre, so as to save up time for a longer kopi session instead. bahzzzzzzzzzz. i'll queue for the longest. lol.

2. i had an okay day. i spent most of the day at a friend's grandpa's wake. it's wierd that i actually feel at ease at the place. Maybe coz the place is at kovan? or coz everything seems so familiar to the august event or mayb her grandma was a good host. she was such a hospitable darling! i felt so comfortable chit-chatting my friend's grandma. i think if im a guy, i would have gotten into her good books!!lol

This was one of our conversation:

grandma: hmm... haven't read newspapers for 3 days. haiz.. don't know what happen to the world liao.

me: grandma, i think the world is still fine. dont worry.

hope that u had an enjoyable holiday.

love,
lynnette
