day 2 wasnt any better coz work started. we had a prep meeting with the officials there. let's see, Sg was represented by 3 officers? while the indons had like 30 of them? hmm. and the language of the meeting was BAHASA. my goodness. stoned.
our hosts wanted to bring us around for a short tour to the city/merapi. the boss seems to hate mt merapi alot. and so we headed for the city centre. nothing much. i would prefer gg to mt merapi coz it's more of a must-see than the batik shops in the city right... argh.
day 2 ended with a working dinner that i had to prep for that evening. it was a dinner hosted for the heads of delegation. it was such a difficult dinner for me. i was hungry coz i didnt really have a chance to eat well for the previous meals. and the worst thing is, i gotta entertained the guests and cant eat at all.
damn.
day 3 was THE DAY. the event that i had planning since half a year ago. great. i was a back-bencher most of the time, on-standby most of the time in case the director needs my assistance. other than that, it was okay i supposed.
There was welcome dinner that night for everyone. they brought us to this temple area for dinner and performance. i had this conversation with my indon host:
the lady: i was worried when i booked the venue for the dinner..
me: is it coz of the wet weather plans?
the lady: no. i was afraid that it will not be a full moon evening. then u wont be able to see the backdrop of the temple..
me: *roll eyes*
haha.
okay, the moon, the backdrop of the temple.. it was really a pretty sight (:
